Halloween re release theatres

While Laurie Strode is getting ready to square off against Michael Myers in David Gordon Green's Halloween sequel, moviegoers will get a chance to see where it all began. John Carpenter's 1978 classic Halloween is getting a 40th anniversary theatrical rerelease on select screens worldwide beginning Sept. 27. Seeing Halloween in a theater is plenty exciting on its own, but this sounds like it could be a truly fantastic experience. Tickets for the screenings of Halloween are currently on sale.

This 2017 rerelease will essentially kick off a yearlong 40th anniversary celebration of the original Halloween, which will culminate on October 19, 2018 when the new Halloween movie arrives in theaters, executive produced by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode.
